Getting abs is very achievable for anyone. However, you need the proper method to do it and understand how abs work. Here are 5 Ways to Get Abs:
Diet
Abs are made in the kitchen. Understand that viewable abs are the product of toned abdominal muscles and very low body fat. If that body fat percentage is not low enough, you won’t be able to see those abs that you’ve been working out.
A high protein diet is key for building those muscles. Low carbohydrate intake is also recommended to cut the fat out faster. Watch what you eat and start keeping track of your weight loss.
Remember, there is no way to shed off your belly fat. Your body fat gets removed equally and can’t be targeted to one area.
Workout
Working out will ensure that your six pack shaped better. They will pop out more once the fat is gone if they are bigger and stronger. There are many ab workouts you can do at home, so a gym isn’t even necessary. If you have a gym membership, alternate between body weight ab workouts and machines.
Although losing your body fat is the most important part to getting abs, working out is still crucial to the process.
Cardio
If you want to get the fat off more efficiently, implement cardio to your workout. The best way to do cardio is right after you wake up on an empty stomach. This will make the cardio eat up your fat for energy because it has nothing else to use.
HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) cardio is the best form of cardio. It involves very high intensity for a short period of time and then a short rest. Repeat that process and you will be burning fat in no time.
Drink A Lot of Water
Whether you’re trying to get abs or not, drinking a lot of water is always necessary to stay healthy. However, water plays a very key role to dieting for abs. Because you’ll be eating less, drinking a lot of water helps keep your stomach full and avoid temptations to eat more. It will also boost your metabolism which is key for burning the fat more efficiently. You can also boost your metabolism by eating less food, more often. A study shows that adults who drank more water burned calories faster at rest.
Take Your Time
I know you want abs, and you want them now. But the truth is, they take time to develop. Just keep pursuing your goal of getting that six-pack and diet properly with cardio. Eventually you will shed off enough body fat to see those abs pop through. It is the best feeling ever and you won’t regret all the hard work you put into it. If you try to get them at a super fast pace, you might notice that you are wasting energy on something that simply takes longer to get through. Be patient, they’re on the way.
Don’t forget to grab yourself a good pair of workout gloves when you’re hitting the gym to prevent blisters and pain. These are my favorite workout gloves for the gym:
